For how long is the MRE designation valid?
Your designation will be valid through Dec.31 of the year two years after you earn it. For example, anyone who earns the MRE during 2012 will be entitled to use it through December 31, 2014.
Is the MRE designation like other designations?
Yes. Just like other designations, “MRE” may be placed after your name. The MRE designation is recognition of an achievement that must be updated periodically. The designation is valid until December 31 of the year two years after it is awarded. You must complete another three approved courses and remit the $25 designation fee every two years to keep your designation valid. The MRE is a state-sponsored designation and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NAR.
What are the requirements for the MRE designation?
Before taking classes that apply to the MRE, you must hold both the GRI and at least one other NAR-family designation.
