The Master of Real Estate® designation recognizes ongoing advanced learning after earning the GRI, one other NAR-family designation and completing three approved courses. The MRE designation is valid through Dec. 31 two years after it is awarded.
The letters “MRE” may be placed behind your name, along with additional designations, such as ABR, CRS, GRI, etc. The term “Master of Real Estate®” or the initials “MRE” may be used on cards, letterhead, and in other marketing pieces. The MRE pin may also be worn or displayed.
The MRE designation may be used throughout its period of validity. To renew your MRE designation, you must complete three approved courses and pay the $25 designation fee every two years. The MRE is a state-sponsored designation and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NAR.
