During the recent Board of Directors’ Meeting, held on January 20th at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City, MAR CEO Russ Cofano announced exciting changes in the structure and responsibilities of the Association’s staff. Two new staff members have been added, while two current staffers have been reassigned to roles that are better positioned to meet the strategic goals of the organization.
Amanda Iman has been hired as Marketing and Communications Manager. Reporting to department Director, Betsy Woodruff, Amanda will strengthen MAR’s graphic design capabilities while also helping with MAR’s social media efforts. Stephanie Strobel has also joined the Association as Meetings and Affiliate/Sponsor Relations Manager. Reporting to both Woodruff and Audra Burrell, Director, Operations & Meetings, Strobel will be MAR’s primary meeting planner while also spearheading the development of MAR’s affiliate and sponsorship program.
Longtime staffer Erin Hervey, who has acted as Director, Public Policy for over a decade, will now serve the organization in the role of Director, Local Board and NAR Liaison. In this newly created position, Hervey will act as MAR’s primary point of contact for local board Association Executives, helping them understand and implement the many programs and services offered by MAR and the National Association of REALTORS®. Jill Malherek, formerly Public Policy Manager, will now fill the position of Director, RPAC. RPAC (REALTORS® Political Action Committee) is one of the foundational efforts of MAR and helps position MAR as one of the strongest and most politically active trade associations in Missouri. Malherek will help raise awareness and coordinate RPAC fundraising at both the state and local levels. While Hervey and Malherek will both report directly to Cofano, they will also work closely with Sam Licklider, MAR’s Sr. Vice President of Governmental Affairs.
Please join us in welcoming Amanda and Stephanie to the staff and congratulating Erin and Jill in their new and important roles.
